2012 Galloway Family Update!

Juan had an adventure going to Haiti on a mission trip with our oldest daughter River and The Relief Bus staff in October. See more here. As soon as they got back, Juan was thrown into Hurricane Sandy relief work in New York City.

But it wasn’t all work! Juan also squeezed in some great frisbee golf games this summer too. Follow his blog at

Together, we celebrated 20 years of marriage this November. We are more in love than ever and ready for the next 20!

Tracy has been busy leading a women’s life group in their home as part of Liquid Church. She won first place in a chili cook-off against 20 other competitors! She also took the kids to Washington DC this year to see the monuments and museums. Check out Tracy’s YouTube show at!

River is a senior (age 17) and planning on going to Mozambique next year to do a year of missions work with orphans. She is now leading her own 2 hour worship and prayer set weekly at local International House of Prayer. Hear her leading worship at a local church here.

Hailey is a sophomore (age 15). She is attending the Columbus School for Girls, a boarding school. She loves it and is always telling us how much she is growing in God there. We have had fun visiting her and are excited about her coming home for Christmas.

Corban is in 7th grade (age 12) and has been learning golf. The rest of the family tried to learn a little too by playing pitch-n-putt with him. He is a great student and just got a report card with straight A’s!

Connor is in 5th grade (age 10) and also received straight A’s! He is co-president of the student council, which means he gets to tell jokes over the school P.A. system. This was Connor’s first year playing football. He played safety and had an incredible first season. He is also a committed Tae Kwon Do student with a green stripe belt so far.

Looking forward to another great year in 2013!

Christmas Blessings,

Juan & Tracy Galloway

Merry Christmas!

Dear Friends,

The Galloway family had a big year in 2012! Click here for some great photos and an update on the fam.

Can you help? We need friends to partner with us to continue this vital work with The Relief Bus. There are 47,000 homeless people in New York City and 20,000 of them are children. Can you imagine spending Christmas with your kids in a shelter? There are people on the streets praying for someone like us to come along and give them a hand up, not just a hand out.

This year we helped a lot of hurting people:

The Relief Bus has had one-on-one, in-depth conversations with over 800 individuals and given over 700 referrals to life-transforming resources like detox and rehab.

  • Nearly 10,000 prayers were prayed by our staff and almost 5,000 volunteers.
  • In our 23rd year, The Relief Bus served over 5 million servings of food & drink to the poor and hungry on the streets of NYC and NJ!

Partner With Us!
This holiday season, when you consider where you will be doing your charitable giving, please remember us and our work with the poor. We are in great need of monthly partners and welcome one-time givers. Your donation is tax-deductible.

GIVE ONLINE by clicking here and write “Juan & Tracy” in the designation field. You can even sign up to give monthly. Checks can be made out to “The Relief Bus” and mailed to 295 Walnut Street, Elizabeth, NJ 07201. Enclose “Juan and Tracy” in the envelope so we know who it’s for. THANKS!

Juan, Tracy, River, Hailey, Corban and Connor Galloway

Augustus is a homeless man who goes to
dialysis 3 times a week. He received some
real hope the day he came to The Relief Bus.
